Trade Certificate Assistant “ program, will assist the
responsible person (e.g. Electrical Contractor, Supervising
electrician, Electrician )
in keeping
permanent accessible records of the Certificates of Electrical
Safety they issue, (and are responsible for) as well as keeping
up to date employee and client records. The Certificates of
Electrical Safety are a legal and binding document which you are
responsible for, in an audit situation you may be required to
produce the original signed certificate or discuss the details
of a Certificate of Electrical Safety you have issued. You will
have possibly lodged many certificates, retrieval may a daunting
task.
This task has been
made easy as you can search on any field, for example,
Search for a Certificate
Number, Employee,
Job Name,
Post Code,
Failed
Certificate etc. You do not need a
computer background to use this program it was written by an
electrician for electricians.
If you employ a number
of electricians you can carry out an "In House" audit to ensure
the electricians you employ are complying with the current
Electrical Certificate of Electrical Safety system.
Electrical Trade Certificate Assistant program.
How
to
Use,
Getting Started
1. Once you have entered your details in the “SETUP” area of the
program and completed your Employee details, you will not
have
to re-enter that data again when filling out completed
certificates (See sections 1 and 2 of the Certificates of
Electrical
Safety
issued by the OCEI) This task will become automatic, all you
have to do is choose the licensed electrical worker
from
a drop down list box.
2. The “Electrical Trade Certificate Assistant”
program will also allow you to add additional information if
insufficient space provided
on the
original Certificate of Electrical Safety, this can be printed and
attached to the Customer and OCEI original
copies
– The additional information is saved within the
program and can be retrieved at any time
3. Searching for completed certificates has been made very easy as
you can now search on any data field. Search for a
Certificate
Number , Licensed Electrical worker, Installation Details /
customer details, failed certificates, addresses of
installations,
date Completed/ Certified etc.
4. Quick Reg. Once you have completed a
number of Certificates of Electrical Safety and ready to lodge
your certificates, Click
on the Quick Reg. button then use the “Previous
certificate “ button to go back to the first of the certificate
you wish to
lodged. Using the OCEI’s I.V.R. (Interactive Voice Recognition
System) follow the prompts to lodge the certificate, once certificate
is successfully lodged Press “Next certificate” follow
the I.V.R. voice prompts continue until all certificates
are
lodged.
(This method will save a lot of paper shuffling when trying to
lodge your certificates.)
5. Certificates of Electrical safety can be
printed and viewed as a report,
IMPORTANT!
This program will not eliminate the need to fill out and sign
the original Certificates of Electrical Safety
nor will it automatically register your certificates. It is
merely, a powerful tool to help the electrical
contractor keep track of the Certificates of Electrical Safety
they issue and are responsible for. Do not
take the Certificate of Electrical
S afety
compliance system lightly, as these Certificates
once signed become
a legal
and binding document..
